I personally love watching West Wing and Madam Secretary because I get to pretend for 42 minutes at a time that we have a sensible person in the White House. And life is good.
What do you do when you tell someone that you’re not arguing over semantics but they don’t know what ‘semantics’ means?
Every night you dream that you talk to a genie, when you wake up you can’t remember what you wished for. One morning you wake up with a giant crab pincer replacing your right arm. What do you do?
Everything was okay. It was right, now. Previously, it had been all left. I’d lost my hand in a seal incident some years ago, leaving me with a hook where an arm should have been. I didn’t remember my dream but I knew a fact about crabs: they regrows their pincers. I suspected this wish was the result of a common and reasonable misunderstanding where I had asked for a right arm again, a chance to regrow it, and the genie, knowing this was not a human trait, had fulfilled my request in the most efficient means possible. As long as I still had my hook somewhere around here, however, I suspected I’d be back to my old self and eating a tasty crab dinner by the evening. Ready to drift off to sleep again… #arresteddevelopement #looseseal

FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY in paper hearts
You said it yourself once. You said that … a dream was an answer to a question we haven’t learned how to ask.
I love how the fifth episode of remington steele is just about how romantic it is to commit crimes together. Detective show of all time.
Ashes to ashes is actually about how much they smoked in the 80s. That’s why it’s called ashes to ashes.
